Ok so i have a brand new Toshiba Sat A660-0V3 Core i5 and 6gb of RAM... If I just type -v my laptop just restarts, the furthest i have gotten was typing:
-x -v busratio=17 cpus=1 rd=disk0s1

Even then Kernal comes up with a Panic with a message saying nfs_boot_init failed

Please help as i would love to have the option to use a mac for University this September.

i used yout guide to install os x on my toshiba satellite L300-176. everything works just fine, great job! only the wlan and lan doenst work. it doesnt even show up in the system profiler. can u help me out there?
